A young man has suffered serious injuries after being shot outside a home in Parkwood.
Emergency crews were called Woodlands Way just before 8pm on Thursday following reports a man had received a gunshot wound to his leg and other injuries to his hand.
The 21-year-old victim was treated at the scene before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
A Gold Coast Police spokesperson told Hot Tomato initial inquiries indicate the incident was targeted and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Investigations are ongoing.
