Three teens charged over stolen car joyride

Three teenage boys have been charged after a two-day joyride in an allegedly stolen car.

Emergency services were called to Eggersdorf Rd in Ormeau around 9.30pm on Monday night.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse had reportedly run out of petrol, with Police unable to confirm reports it had crashed into a fence.

Officers arrested three boys at the scene, a 14-year-old from Elanora, A 14-year-old from Pimpama and a 16-year-old from Broadbeach.

All three have been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and will front the Children’s Court.

It’s alleged the Mitsubishi was stolen from an address in Pacific Pines on Sunday morning.
