A man has been charged after an incident in Arundel that forced a school into lockdown.
Police were called to Brisbane Rd near Arundel Dr around 3.10pm on Wednesday following reports that a man was causing a disturbance and throwing items at traffic.
A nearby school was locked down as a precaution.
A 23-year-old Helensvale man was taken into custody a short time later.
The man has since been charged with commit public nuisance and going armed to cause fear.
He will appear Southport Magistrates Court on August 27.
No one was injured during the incident.
