Police are appealing for information following a hit and run crash in Southport yesterday.
Emergency crews rushed to the intersection of Ferry Road and Pinter Drive just after midday following reports a white ute had collided with a silver Kymco motorcycle.
Police say the driver of the ute failed to remain at the scene and render assistance to the rider, who suffered life-threatening injuries.
The 55-year-old man was treated by paramedics before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains fighting for life.
The Forensic Crash Unit has launched an investigation and is appealing for the driver of ute, or anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.
