Four Aussies have woken up multi-millionaires after each scoring a life-changing $20 million in last night’s $80 million Powerball draw.
There were four division one winning entries across Australia, the first time in more than 10 years that four entries have shared a Powerball division one jackpot.
One of the winners is from Queensland, two are from Victoria, while the fourth is from Western Australia.
The lucky Sunshine State local, a woman in her 20s from Woolloongabba, admitted it was the first time she had purchased a Lotto ticket.
The young woman initially missed calls from The Lott informing her of the life-altering news as she was enjoying a shower after a long day at work.
“I am in shock!” she declared when the enormity of her win was confirmed.
“This is just a one-off. I saw it was an $80 million draw, and I just picked all my lucky numbers, such as my family’s birthdays.
“It’s crazy! I don’t know what to say. It’s insane.
“I’ve just gotten out of the shower and saw I had some missed calls. I thought, ‘What the hell?’.
“I’m still shaking.
“I can buy my own house. Travel. I’m just speechless.
“This is life-changing!”
In addition to four division one winners, there were 2,361,560 winners across divisions two to nine who collectively took home more than $45.9 million.
The winning numbers were 9, 22, 23, 3, 13, 28 and 32, while the all-important Powerball number was 5.
