Investigations are underway following a fiery crash in Southport that shut down a busy road for two hours.
Emergency crews were called to Cotlew Street around 12.15am on Monday following reports of a serious crash.
Upon arrival, they found a grey Toyota 86 had lost control and ploughed into a tree before catching fire.
Thankfully the occupants managed to get out before the vehicle erupted into flames.
One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
