Someone better be making the damn gravy!

Australia’s greatest story teller and song writer has just turned 70, and to celebrate it he’s releasing another album. Australian legend, Paul Kelly, has announced he’s releasing his 30th studio album. The album is in celebration of his achievement and has been appropriately titled “70”. When discussing the album and his 70th birthday Kelly remarked how lucky he felt to have lived that long “You’ve got to live that long. Everything else after that is, you know, you know, gravy,”.

The singer-song writer has had a long and successful career with well-known hits such as ‘How To Make Gravy’, ‘To Her Door’, ‘From St Kilda to Kings Cross’ and many more. Kelly has even received an Australian made documentary about his life and his work named Paul Kelly: Stories of Me which released in 2012. The film portrayed Kelly’s 40-year career as the legendary singer-songwriter. He’s even seen one of his pieces of work tuned into a feature film, How to Make Gravy received a silver screen adaptation which released in 2024.
