An e-bike rider has been seriously injured after an accident in Surfers Paradise.
Emergency services were called to the Cyprus Ave light rail station around 11.50pm on Thursday after reports a rider had collided with a pole.
A man in his 40s had suffered head and facial injuries in the accident.
He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
The accident forced the suspension of light rail services for a short time.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
