Australian actor Sarah Snook is heading to the glitter strip, with the Golden Globe winner named to headline the AACTA Awards being held on the Gold Coast next month.

Snook will be honoured with the prestigious Trailblazer Award at the ceremony, set to be held at HOTA on Friday, February 6.

The award, which celebrates Australians who are forging unique and influential pathways in the global industry, has previously been given to the likes of Margot Robbie, Chris Hemsworth, Simon Baker Isla Fisher.

“I’m so honored to receive the AACTA Trailblazer Award,” Snook said.

“Australia is where I learned to love storytelling, and every opportunity I’ve had began with the support of this community.

“I’m grateful to the filmmakers, co-stars, crews and audiences who have lifted me up along the way.

The following morning, Snook will be joined by fellow Australian actor Shane Jacobson to present an exclusive ‘In Conversation’ where she will offer the audience insights and recollections about her career.

The session will delve into her breakout role of ‘Shiv Roy’ in HBO’s Succession, which earned her an Emmy and two Golden Globes, as well as her recent project All Her Fault, which recently earned her a Critics Choice Award for Best Actress in a Limited Series.

“It’s a privilege to represent Australian talent on the world stage, and I hope to keep contributing to the vibrant, world-class industry we’re building together,” Snook added.

Snook has been nominated for six AACTA Awards over her career and has won three.

“Sarah Snook embodies everything the AACTA Trailblazer Award represents,” AACTA CEO Damian Trewhella said.

“From her early work in Australian film and television to her extraordinary global success across screen and stage, Sarah has carved a reputation as one of Australia’s greatest performers.

“She continues to champion Australian storytelling on the world stage while inspiring the next generation of creatives at home”.
