Police are investigating a serious crash at Robina that’s left a teenage boy in hospital with significant injuries.
Emergency crews were called to Robina Parkway near the intersection of Scottsdale Drive around 8pm following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
According to police, initial investigations suggest a white 2013 Toyota Corolla being driven by a 17-year-old boy and a green 2012 Mazda 2 being driven by a 29-year-old woman collided.
The Toyota Corolla then veered off the road before ploughing into a tree.
The teenage boy behind the wheel was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition with significant injuries to his leg.
Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have relevant vision of the crash is being asked to come forward.
