Paradise Country has provided an update on the health of Mary the Tasmanian Devil after she spent two weeks in the wild.

Mary was finally located on Tuesday night about 2 kilometers from Paradise Country, after escaping her enclosure on Tuesday 2 June.

She was rushed to a specialist veterinary hospital where they were able to stabilise her condition, but she’s not out of the woods yet.

Mary has had an anaesthetic procedure to undergo an MRI scan overnight.

“Specialised veterinarians can report she remains in a stable, but critical condition,” a statement reads.

“Mary’s dedicated wildlife team remain by her side 24/7 to provide care and support, while the veterinarian team perform high end diagnostics to help inform a targeted treatment plan.”
