Four young women have been charged over the alleged shocking assault and robbery of a Gold Coast tavern manager.
The group of five allegedly got into a verbal argument with the 41-year-old female manager at the Helensvale Tavern around 7.30pm on Wednesday.
Police allege the women assaulted her before stealing her phone, leaving her with facial injuries.
The women then fled the scene but were tracked down and arrested at the Helensvale train station a short time later.
A 19-year-old Tweed Heads woman has since been charged with one count each of contravene requirement of a police officer and obstruct a police officer.
While a 19-year-old Upper Coomera woman, 20-year-old Coomera woman, and 22-year-old Redbank Plains woman have each been charged with one count of robbery in company.
Investigations are ongoing to locate a fifth woman who managed to escape.
