This marks the first time the 25-time Grammy winner, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and first hip-hop artist in the Songwriters Hall of Fame will take the Super Bowl stage himself. Through his company Roc Nation, Jay-Z has served as the strategic entertainment advisor and producer of the halftime show since partnering with the NFL in 2019.
“From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell added: “For several years, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with Jay-Z and Roc Nation, and I’ve seen the extraordinary impact he has had on the Super Bowl Halftime Show. When we first agreed with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had one request: that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him. I couldn’t be more excited for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage.”
Jay-Z had just wrapped sold-out shows at the same SoFi Stadium as part of his Jay-Z 30 celebration, marking the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th of The Blueprint. Earlier in 2026, he also broke records with three sold-out shows at Yankee Stadium.
Fans are already talking about potential guests, with Beyoncé topping most lists, given their long history of collaborations and her own Super Bowl appearances, though none have been confirmed. The performance continues a run of high-profile, culturally significant halftime shows under the Roc Nation partnership, following acts such as Bad Bunny (Super Bowl LX), Kendrick Lamar, Usher, Rihanna, and the 2022 West Coast hip-hop lineup headlined by Dr Dre at SoFi.
