Elon Musk has once again caused a stir on the internet with the introduction of Tesla’s new line of robots.

So, what exactly are these robots capable of? Well, they are designed to perform various tasks and interact with humans.

The latest addition to the company’s robot lineup is Optimus Gen 2, which, as reported by Fox News, is said to be lighter, faster, and smoother.

According to Tesla, the goal of these robots is to create a versatile, autonomous humanoid robot capable of handling unsafe, repetitive, or tedious tasks.

Standing at a height of almost 6 feet and weighing 55kg’s, the new robot can assist humans in various fields such as manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and entertainment.

With new and highly upgraded joints, the robot can move its joints in different directions and angles, giving it a more human-like appearance and movement.

Additionally, the robot is equipped with new hands, feet, neck, and body, making it even more lifelike.

The upgraded hands, are also equipped with tactile sensors and faster actuators, allowing for more precise movements compared to the previous model.

This comes in handy, especially when it comes to neatly folding clothes. Musk shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) showing the robot in action, folding some clothes.

In the comments, Musk mentioned that while Optimus cannot currently perform this task autonomously, it will eventually be able to do so in any environment without the need for a fixed table or a box with only one shirt.
