It’s coming guys I swear, don’t lose hope!
The studio behind some of the most successful and prolific games of all time, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, has today announced that their highly anticipated GTA 6 has been delayed. The game which was supposed to release in May of 2026 has been pushed back until November. The team behind the game shared their reasoning for the delay “giving the team some additional time to finish the game with the high level of polish players expect and deserve. Rockstar has our full support of course, and we are confident they will deliver an unrivalled blockbuster entertainment experience.”
The previous title in the franchise, Grand Theft Auto Five, released on consoles back in 2013 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox360. By the time next game releases it’ll be a full 13-years since Grand Theft Auto Five, two console generations, and rereleased three times. The upcoming game is set to blow up the gaming world with anticipation for this title being through the roof. There have even been murmurs behind the scenes at other studios looking to actively avoid releasing titles of their own around the same window.
