Australia’s favourite wildlife warrior Robert Irwin is gearing up for his biggest television gig yet.
The 22-year-old has been announced as the host of this year’s TV Week Logie Awards.
He replaces comedian Sam Pang, who has helmed the glitzy ceremony for the last three years.
It will be Irwin’s second hosting gig after previously sharing hosting duties with Julia Morris on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
The lovable Aussie also won the mirror ball trophy in the latest season of Dancing with the Stars in America as he continues his incredible rise.
Irwin said he’s incredibly honoured to be hosting Australian television’s biggest night.
“Hosting the TV WEEK Logie Awards is one of the most exciting things I’ve been asked to do,” Irwin said in a statement.
“Throughout my life, my goal has been to spread an important message not only through our work at Australia Zoo, but also on the screen.
“I grew up watching the Logies with my family, so this is certainly an honour. Australian television has given so much to so many people.
“To be part of the biggest night in Aussie TV is something I don’t take lightly. I cannot wait!”
The awards ceremony will be held at The Star in Sydney in August.
