Lexie Brant, a 21-year-old Queenslander, has been crowned Miss Universe Australia at this year’s final in Perth.

The model and occupational therapy student, who also works as a medical secretary and boasts over 7,000 Instagram followers and rising, triumphed over 29 other contestants to claim the prestigious title.

Radiating natural beauty and a beaming smile as she was crowned, Brant now joins the ranks of past winners-turned-icons such as Olivia Molly Rogers, Maria Thattil, Laura Dundovic, and Jennifer Hawkins.

The new Miss Universe Australia celebrated the milestone on social media, expressing excitement.

Brant is set to be on the global stage this November, when she will represent Australia at the Miss Universe competition in Thailand.
