Irwin and his pro partner, Witney Carson, unleashed a steamy Salsa routine set to Tommy Richman’s hit “Million Dollar Baby.” The routine was already high-octane, but the energy spiked when Robert went full heartthrob and ripped off his black button-down shirt mid-dance.
The move, which showed off his toned physique, elicited a roaring reaction from the studio audience, proving that all those hours spent wrestling crocs have certainly paid off.
The judges were just as stunned! Carrie Ann Inaba perfectly captured the moment, joking, “Robert Irwin is all grown up. Wow, you’re making me feel like a grandmother!” Fellow judge Bruno Tonioli took the praise even further, comparing the young Australian to none other than Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth. The pair earned a solid 22 out of 30, but the score was almost secondary to the viral sensation they created.
In the aftermath, his partner Witney Carson playfully admitted she had “so many moments of regret” about the shirtless move, not because it wasn’t amazing, but because of the surge of DMs she’s fielding from fans hoping to get closer to her single partner! Witney is reportedly acting as Robert’s “DM screener,” making sure her focus, and Robert’s, stays on the competition.
