Legendary New Zealand rock group Split Enz will return to Australian stages in May 2026 for their first national tour in almost two decades.
The Forever Enz Tour reunites original members Tim Finn, Neil Finn, Eddie Rayner and Noel Crombie, with Matt Eccles on drums and James Milne on bass. The four-city tour opens at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on 13 May before moving to Sydney (18 May), Perth (22 May) and Adelaide (25 May). The band will also headline Byron Bay Bluesfest in April.
“Split Enz was my first band, my initiation into the magic of music and collaboration,” Neil Finn said. “It feels very special to be reuniting with that feeling and reigniting the flame.”
The reunion marks 50 years since the band’s debut album Mental Notes. Their 1980 breakthrough True Colours sold more than 350,000 copies in Australia, with the Neil Finn-penned “I Got You” reaching number one in both Australia and New Zealand.
Split Enz, inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2005, last toured Australia in 2009 for the Sound Relief benefit concert. The band’s influence extends beyond their own hits, Neil Finn went on to form Crowded House, while both Finn brothers were appointed OBE in 1993 for their services to music.
Tickets go on sale 17 November at 12pm local time, with various presales starting 12 November.
