The story trailer for the eagerly awaited “Star Wars Outlaws” video game, developed by Ubisoft in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, has been unveiled giving us a glimpse into the period of time the game will take place in the wider universe.

Set in the turbulent period between “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi,” the game centers around the adventures of Kay Vess, a rising rogue navigating the treacherous waters of the galactic underworld.

Accompanying Kay on her escapades are Nyx, her trusty alien companion, and ND-5, a BX-commando droid with a penchant for trench coats, originally crafted by the Separatists during the Clone Wars.

Together, this unlikely trio embark on a journey fraught with danger as they engage in daring heists, cunning schemes, and thrilling battles against the galaxy’s notorious crime syndicates, all in pursuit of a chance at a fresh start.

Unlike many other games, every planet and location in “Star Wars Outlaws” is meticulously handcrafted, ensuring a rich and immersive gaming experience. From iconic locales familiar to fans to exciting new destinations like the enigmatic world of Toshara, the game promises a diverse and thrilling universe to explore.

Adding to the excitement is the confirmation that Emilia Clarke’s Qi’ra from “Solo: A Star Wars Story” will make an appearance, as well as an unusual cameo from Han Solo himself trapped in carbonite.

Preorders are available now ready for the game to drop on August 30th. “Star Wars Outlaws” will launch for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Players can gain early access, up to three days in advance, by purchasing the Gold or Ultimate edition, which includes the base game and season pass.
