After a long 15-year hiatus, fans of the iconic Polly Waffle can finally rejoice as the beloved treat makes its return to shelves. Previously off the market since 2009, Polly Waffle is back in a new form – Polly Waffle Bites.

Produced in South Australia at Glynde by Menz, these delectable treats come in 125g bags and are priced at $5.50. Initially, they will be available at select independent retailers such as Foodland and Drakes SA, as well as Menz FruChocs outlets in Hahndorf and McLaren Vale, both in-store and online. In the coming weeks, they will be gradually introduced across the country, with major stockists including Coles, Woolworths, and various independent retailers, petrol stations, and convenience stores.

Phil Sims, the CEO of Menz, expresses confidence in the company’s ability to deliver the same deliciousness that Polly Waffle enthusiasts remember. He reassures chocolate lovers that their cravings will be more than satisfied with these modern, bite-sized twists.

“The Menz team has worked tirelessly to recreate the magic of Polly Waffle, incorporating a contemporary twist in the form of these Bites. We’re grateful for the patience shown by the Australian public throughout this process,” Sims states. He emphasizes that these Bites evoke nostalgia and passion associated with the Polly Waffle brand.

First introduced by Hoadley’s Chocolate in Melbourne in 1947, Polly Waffle underwent ownership changes, including acquisitions by UK-based Rowntree’s in 1972 and Swiss giant Nestle in 1988, before ceasing production in 2009.
