A major investigation is underway after a body washed up on a Gold Coast beach.
Emergency services were called to a Tugun beach around 11.30am after a member of the public located the deceased woman in the water.
A Queensland Police spokesperson has confirmed investigations are now underway to identify the person and determine the cause of death.
