A business in Bundall has been destroyed after going up in flames.
The blaze erupted at around 4.45am on Monday morning on Ashmore Rd near Upton St.
Fire crews rushed to the scene but were unable to save the business.
Residents from several nearby homes were evacuated at the height of the blaze.
Emergency services remain on the scene with an investigation set to begin to determine the cause of the fire.
The incident has closed both directions of Ashmore Rd between Bundall Rd and Upton St with motorists urged to avoid the area.
Upton St is also closed between Ashmore Rd and Coogeen St.
