ARIA Award winner and Gold Coast local Casey Barnes will make a return to the Groundwater Country Music Festival as organisers unveil more additions to the star-studded line-up.
Following the release of his fifth studio album Mayday, and a Golden Guitar Award for Contemporary Country Album of the Year, Barnes will hit the Broadbeach stage again in October.
Barnes will actually make two appearances during the festival, with a full-band set and a special solo performance.
“We’re beyond pumped to be part of the massive 2025 line up and can’t wait to bring another huge show to fans this October!” Barnes said.
“Groundwater will always hold a special place in my heart for so many reasons.
“It was one of the first festivals to give the band and me a go when it all began, it’s right here in my own backyard on the Gold Coast and some of my all-time favourite memories on stage have happened at Groundwater.”
Joining Barnes will be US country star Nikki Lane and pop star turned country star Amy Sheppard.
It’ll be Lane’s first time performing down under in 11 years.

“Groundwater is more than just music, it’s about creating space where country can thrive, from traditional roots to bold new directions,” Festival Director Mark Duckworth said.
“We’re building a home for country on the Gold Coast that celebrates Aussie talent and welcomes the world.”
Organisers of Groundwater have also confirmed the festival will expand its footprint with The Star to host a performance by vocalist Hayley Jensen, with more artists to be announced.
