A schoolgirl is tonight fighting for life after being hit by a car in Tallebudgera Valley.
The primary-school aged child was struck at the intersection of Plaza Street and Tallebudgera Creek Road just before 4pm on Thursday.
The girl suffered life-threatening head and leg injuries.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
Police are appealing for witnesses as investigations into the circumstances of the crash continue.
