A manhunt is underway for a thief accused of robbing a young boy in broad daylight in Logan.
The 12-year-old was walking along Station Road in Woodridge around 3.40pm on Monday when he was approached by a male and asked for the time.
Police say the boy retrieved his iPhone from his backpack, before the male allegedly snatched the phone, assaulted the boy, and fled on foot.
The boy sustained minor injuries from the incident and was transported to Logan Hospital for treatment.
It’s understood there were a number of witnesses in the area at the time of the robbery, with detectives appealing for them to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
