Crime scene declared after suss Gold Coast car wash fire

A manhunt is underway after a Gold Coast car wash business was set alight in a suspicious fire early this morning.

Emergency crews were called to the business on Brisbane Road in Arundel around 1am following reports of a large blaze.

Initial investigations suggest a vehicle was deliberately driven into the front of the shop and torched.

Flames then ripped through both the vehicle and store, causing extensive damage.

A crime scene has been established as investigations continue.

Police are appealing for anyone with relevant dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
