A Logan father and his four-year-old son have died after being struck by a ute in Logan.
The 33-year-old man and his son were reportedly walking to get ice-cream from the local service station when they were struck along Green Road at Regents Park around 11am Sunday.
Despite desperate efforts by paramedics, both the man and boy died at the scene.
The driver of the ute, a 41-year-old Regents Park man, was taken into custody at the scene.
He has since been charged with two counts of manslaughter and is due to front Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
Police say investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit and Logan District Child Protection and Investigation Unit are ongoing.
Anyone with relevant information or vision of the ute prior to the incident is being urged to contact police.
