Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash on the M1 with a driver and passenger on the run.
An Isuzu D-Max ute slammed into the back of a dump truck in the southbound lanes of the motorway at Currumbin around 7.30pm on Monday night.
The driver and a passenger then reportedly exited the car before walking across three lanes of traffic and jumping a barrier, fleeing the scene.
Witnesses have told Police the driver did not appear to be injured following the crash.
Police have been unable to confirm at this stage whether the vehicle was stolen.
One of the southbound lanes was closed for a short period of time before being cleared.
Efforts are now underway to locate the driver of the D-Max and their passenger.
