Firies save Helensvale home from ferocious garage fire

Firefighters have managed to stop a raging fire from ripping through a home in Helensvale.

The blaze erupted from a car parked inside the garage of a home on Bunya Court just after 7pm on Tuesday.

The flames had started threatening the house, but fire crews were thankfully able to stop the blaze from spreading.

Crews spent over an hour working to douse the flames, which had completely smoke-logged the property.

All occupants of the home managed to get out safely, with no injuries reported.

Initial investigations suggest the fire is not suspicious.
