A major crackdown on organised crime has led to four men being charged after detectives executed a series of coordinated raids across the Gold Coast.

The two-day operation, part of the long-running Operation Xray Tough, targeted alleged drug-trafficking syndicates believed to be operating in multiple suburbs.

Search warrants were carried out on November 23 and 24 at homes in Parkwood, Oxenford, Varsity Lakes and Worongary, as well as on five associated vehicles.

Detectives uncovered a haul that included $100,000 in cash, more than 1.2 kilograms of methylamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, and suboxone hidden inside balloons.

Police also seized several firearms, a ballistic vest with plates, a signal-jamming device, and two high-end vehicles including a Dodge RAM believed to be stolen and a Mercedes GLC63.

A 39-year-old Worongary man faces an extensive list of charges, including multiple counts of unlawful possession of weapons, possessing large quantities of methylamphetamine, and holding tainted property.

A 34-year-old Oxenford man was also charged with drug and weapons offences, while a 36-year-old man faces drug-possession charges.

A 34-year-old Parkwood man was charged with possessing a relevant substance and breaching bail.

All four were scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on November 25.

The arrests add to the mounting tally under Operation Xray Tough, which has now netted 15 people facing a combined 88 charges since its launch.

Detectives say the operation has already delivered significant disruption to criminal networks believed to be fuelling drug distribution across the region.

“Our dedicated officers work hard to ensure serious offenders such as these, who cause great harm to Queensland communities, are held accountable for their actions,” Detective Acting Inspector Adrian Sala said.

“We will continue to direct our specialist resources to detect and disrupt serious criminal activity to keep the community safe from harm.”
