A Gold Coast sports instructor has been charged by New South Wales Police over alleged historical sex offences.
It follows an investigation by detectives from Strike Force Buxton which began investigating allegations in April.
The 50-year-old man was arrested at a home in Southport on Thursday with assistance of officers from the Gold Coast Child Protection Investigation Unit.
He was taken to the Southport Watchhouse, where he was charged with eight counts of aggravated indecent assault – victim under authority.
Police will allege the man indecently assaulted two boys on a number of occasions on Sydney’s northern beaches between 1999 and 2007.
The man was granted conditional bail.
He will front Tweed Heads Local Court on October 20.
