The Gold Coast will host a major international T20 clash with Australia to take on world champions India in November.
Cricket Australia has released it 2025-26 fixture with India to return down under this summer.
India will play three one-day clashes and five T20 games across October and November.
The Gold Coast T20 clash versus Australia has been locked in for November 6 before the series wraps up in Brisbane on November 8.
It’s the first international cricket match at People First since the T20 against West Indies in 2022.
“We’re especially excited to bring international T20 cricket to the Gold Coast as part of the T20I Series against India men. The Gold Coast is a fantastic location for international cricket and we’re extremely grateful for the support of our Queensland and local government partners,” Cricket Australia boss Todd Greenberg said.
People First Stadium General Manager Tim Carey said the venue was excited to once again host international cricket on the Gold Coast.
“This is as big as it gets in terms of T20 internationals and to be able to welcome India to People First Stadium to face Australia is really exciting for the Gold Coast and a great endorsement for our venue to be trusted to deliver such a marquee match,” Carey said.
“People First Stadium has a proven ability to host elite short and long-from cricket and we’re expecting this match will bring huge demand to be our largest crowd for a cricket fixture.
Pre-sale tickets will be available for purchase from June 3, with general public tickets available from June 13.
