It’s time to polish the boots and dust off the cowboy hats as excitement builds for this year’s Groundwater Country Music Festival.
Organisers have locked in a huge line-up for this year’s event, which will feature more than 40 artists across 14 venues and stages over three days in October.
Friday night will see Casey Barnes rocking the stage on Surf Parade with Shane Smith & The Saints and Brad Cox to feature at the Kurrawa Big Top.
The Wolfe Brothers will take to the Surf Parade stage on Saturday night, while the Big Top will see The Pleasures and Nikki Lane close out the night.
The festival will go out with a bang on Sunday with Amy Sheppard and Jackson Dean on the Surf Parade stage before Troy Cassar-Daley brings it all home.
“This year’s program is the best example yet of what Groundwater is all about, investing in new talent, giving our local artists opportunities to shine, and bringing them together with some of the best acts from around the world,” Festival Director Mark Duckworth said.
“When you put that mix of artists across the streets with buzzing venues in the heart of Broadbeach, you get a unique weekend of country music here on the Gold Coast.”
Apart from the main stages on Surf Parade and Kurrawa Park, music lovers will be able to enjoy live performances at local venues including TC’s Bar and Gaming Lounge, Den Devine, The Broadbeach, The Beach Hotel, and The Loose Moose.
While The Star Gold Coast is joining in on the fun this year with a big line-up of its own, including Josh Setterfield.
The Groundwater Country Music Festival runs from October 17-19 in Broadbeach.
The full program is available on the Groundwater website here, while people are encouraged to download the Groundwater app via the App Store or Google Play.
