A Reedy Creek mum has become the city’s latest millionaire thanks to a 12-game lotto QuickPick.
The lucky local held one of four division one winning entries across the country in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw, taking home a cool $1.5 million.
Missed calls from an official from The Lott over the weekend prompted the woman to check her ticket, quickly discovering the life-changing news.
“I’m stunned!” she declared when her win was confirmed.
“I keep looking at my ticket. I’ve looked at it plenty of times. It’s awesome!
“I never thought I’d win. I can’t believe it.
“The first thing I’m going to do is buy a house. I never thought that one day I’d be able to buy my own family home. This is the best thing ever.
“I usually just buy a QuickPick when I play. I hadn’t bought a lottery ticket for many years, but then a year or so ago I restarted. I thought, ‘you’ve got to be in it to win it!’.
“I know this win deserves a celebration, but at this stage, I’m just stunned and speechless!”
The woman’s winning ticket was purchased at TSG Reedy Creek, which is the outlet’s second division one win in 2025 to date.
“People say that our shop is very lucky for them and we hope we can make many more people millionaires,” owner Nish Singh said.
“I really feel very happy when someone wins. The smile on my face says it all!
“Congratulations to our winner. Enjoy every cent to the fullest and have a long vacation!”
