Police are on the hunt for a trio of alleged arsonists accused of firebombing a tobacco shop in Logan.

The Browns Plains store went up in flames along Enterprise Way around 3am on Tuesday.

“Initial investigations indicate three offenders arrived in two vehicles, set the business on fire, and left in a dark-coloured hatchback in an unknown direction,” Queensland Police said.

“The fire, which caused damage to two businesses, was extinguished a short time later”.

It’s the second time the tobacconist has been targeted, with the same shop set alight back in May, leaving two men who were sleeping inside seriously injured with severe burns.

Two men, aged 40 and 41, were arrested and charged over that incident, however those responsible for the latest arson attack remain on the run.

Police have confirmed a crime scene has been declared, with investigations ongoing.
