A man has been viciously assaulted in a home invasion in Varsity Lakes.
Three men stormed a Northshore Ave property around 1.15am on Tuesday armed with machetes and a baseball bat.
A 34-year-old resident was assaulted with the baseball bat before the trio damaged property inside.
The group was disturbed by a neighbour before fleeing in a Toyota Hilux.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his face, torso and legs.
He was transported to hospital by paramedics.
A crime scene has been declared at the property.
Detectives are urging anyone with information to contact Police.
Investigations are continuing.
