The officer, a Detective Senior Constable, fell to the floor and hit his head on the tiles.

The 34-year-old cop was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old Coomera man was arrested and has been charged with one count of serious assault on a police officer.
