A man has been charged after sparking frightening scenes at a Logan shopping centre where he allegedly threatened people with a knife.
The man is accused of entering the shopping centre on Wembley Rd in Logan Central at around 10.40am on Sunday before threatening people with the knife.
He fled the centre but was followed by security guards and members of the public.
The man was tracked down by Police a short time later at the corner of Ellen St and Kingston Rd.
The 22-year-old was taken in custody and has since been charged with 12 offences, including four counts of common assault in a public place while adversely affected by intoxicating substance, two counts of threats and one count of going armed to cause fear.
He is due to front Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday.
