A man has been charged with murder after a 29-year-old man was found dead on a footpath in Logan.
A local made the grim find in Reserve Park at Slacks Creek around 7am last Wednesday, sparking a major homicide investigation.
“There are visible injuries observed by our forensic officers that certainly allow us to treat this as a homicide and an unexplained suspicious death,” Detective Inspector Chris Knight told reporters last week.
Following investigations, police yesterday executed search warrants at addresses in Bald Hills and Slacks Creek where a suspect was taken into custody.
They have since charged a 28-year-old Slacks Creek man has been charged with one count each of murder, breach domestic violence offence and drug offences.
He is expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
Investigations are ongoing.
