A man is on the run after crashing a stolen car before making off with the car of a good Samaritan.
Police were called to Robina Town Centre Drive in Robina at around 4.35pm on Wednesday following reports of a three-car crash.
One of those vehicles involved was an LDV, which had been reported stolen from Mermaid Waters on Monday.
The male driver of the LDV got out of the vehicle following the crash before stealing a Honda Odyssey from a passerby who had stopped to render assistance.
No serious injuries were reported following the initial crash.
However, a man and a woman in their 50s were taken to Robina Hospital for observation.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam to contact them.
