Police have confirmed they’re investigating a nasty crash between an electric scooter and bus on the Gold Coast.
Emergency crews were called to the busy intersection of Allied Drive and Napper Road in Arundel around 4.30pm on Tuesday following reports of a collision.
“Investigations indicate that a 23-year-old Southport man was riding the e-scooter east along Napper Road when it collided with the side of a bus, which was travelling at low-speed south along Allied Drive,” Queensland Police said.
The 23-year-old rider suffered a serious foot injury and was transported to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the bus, a 52-year-old man, and its occupants were not physically injured in the collision.
Investigations continue.
