A crime scene has been declared at a home in Upper Coomera following a violent home invasion early this morning.
Police say two “unknown people” forced their way into a property on Baileys Mountain Road around 3.45am.
Once inside, the pair assaulted the 29-year-old male resident who suffered significant wounds to his arm.
The victim was then driven to the Gold Coast University Hospital by a person known to him.
He remains in a serious but stable condition.
A major manhunt is now underway to track down his attackers.
Anyone with information is being urged to come forward as investigations continue.
