Men bashed and robbed in savage early morning attack in Surfers Paradise

Police are investigating after two men were allegedly assaulted and robbed in Surfers Paradise early this morning.

Officers were called to a hotel on the corner of Elkhorn Avenue and Orchid Avenue around 2.30am following reports of the violent encounter.

Early investigations suggest the pair, aged 20 and 18, were bashed by an unknown group of people before having their phones stolen.

The young men suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Police are now appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
