Police are appealing for witnesses following a nasty crash in Surfers Paradise over the weekend.
Initial investigations suggest a black Harley Davidson motorbike and blue Hyundai Getz collided at the intersection of Ferny Avenue and Main Beach Parade around 1.30pm on Sunday.
The male rider suffered serious injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the Gets managed to escape uninjured.
Main Beach Parade was closed in both directions near the crash site as emergency crews responded.
Police are now appealing for anyone with vision or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward as investigations continue.
