Gold Coast locals and visitors will now find it even easier to explore and enjoy the city with the launch of a new app.
Experience Gold Coast has designed the new platform to offer tips, exclusive deals and hidden gems.
And it’s all for free!
The app will even have a personal guide – an AI-powered chatbot named ‘Goldie’.
“This app is about making it easier than ever for people to fall in love with the Gold Coast – whether you’re visiting for a weekend or you’ve lived here your whole life,” Mayor Tom Tate said.
“It’s designed to connect people with everything that makes our city special – the events, the experiences, the stories – all personalised to their interests and right at their fingertips.”
The app features a comprehensive list of what’s on across the city and will offer suggestions based on a person’s location.
Users can also access exclusive offers on tourism experiences, dining and accommodation.
People can even share their own stories and videos of their time exploring the Gold Coast.
“We are thrilled to be launching this exciting new tourism tool, designed and developed right here on the Gold Coast for locals and visitors,” Experience Gold Coast Head of Marketing Brant Hirst said.
“The EGC app is the ultimate guide to the Gold Coast in your pocket, with Goldie the trusted lorikeet and in-app chat assistant, your personal tour guide ready to answer all your questions.
The Experience Gold Coast app is available for Apple and Android via the App Store and Google Play.
