Nine teenagers have been charged following a weekend rampage of juvenile crime across the Gold Coast.
In the first incident on Saturday night, a stolen Volkswagen Amarok was travelling at speed southbound on the M1 when it struck a Kia Carnival near the Hope Island Rd on-ramp.
The Amarok then collided with an Opel sedan before both vehicles rolled.
Four teenagers who were inside the Amarok fled the scene on foot.
Three of the teens were located and arrested nearby a short time later, while the fourth was tracked down by the dog squad around 11pm and taken into custody
It’s alleged that the Amarok had been stolen from a home at Ormeau Hills on Friday night.
The four teens, aged 14, 15, 17 and 18 have since been charged with numerous offences, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The 14-year-old has also been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, enter dwelling and drug offences.
All four are due to front Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
In the second incident, five teenagers aged just 13 and 14, three who were already out on bail, have been charged after crashing an allegedly stolen car in a Police vehicle in Nerang.
Police spotted a stolen Hyundai Elantra and a BMW X6 travelling at speed and in convoy on Riverview Road around 3.10am on Sunday.
A second Police vehicle was patrolling further up Riverview Rd before it was spotted by the driver of the Hyundai, who then braked heavily.
The BMW travelling behind collided with the Hyundai, causing it to propel forward and hit the oncoming Police car before the Hyundai then collided with a parked vehicle.
The occupants of both vehicles fled the scene on foot but were taken into custody a short time later.
The male sergeant who was behind the wheel of the Police vehicle was taken to hospital for assessment.
A 14-year-old Coomera boy has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and burglary.
A 14-year-old Durack boy has been charged with seven offences, including one count each of stealing, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, enter premises and burglary and three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 13-year-old Pimpama boy has been charged with one count each of burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and breach of bail conditions.
A 14-year-old Pimpama boy has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and breach of bail conditions.
A 13-year-old Stretton girl has been charged with one count each of burglary and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and two counts of breach of bail conditions.
All four of the teens were due to front court on Monday.
