LATEST @ 10AM | Police have confirmed the death of a pedestrian in a horror incident in Carrara.

A 63-year-old man was attempting to cross Nerang Broadbeach Road at around 7.10pm on Thursday night when he was hit by a Holden Commodore.

He then landed on the opposite side of the road where he was struck by a Ford Falcon.

The Carrara man was unable to be revived and was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Ford, a 51-year-old Currumbin Waters woman, and the driver of the Holden, a 57-year-old Carrara man, were not physically injured.

Both drivers remained on scene and are assisting police with inquiries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the crash, to come forward.

EARLIER @ 7.15AM | Grave fears are held for a pedestrian after being struck by a car in Carrara.

Emergency services were called to Nerang Broadbeach Rd around 7.12pm on Thursday night following reports that a person had been struck.

A male had suffered significant life-threatening injuries and was assessed on scene.

Queensland Ambulance has not confirmed whether he was transported to hospital.

Paramedics also assessed a woman in her 70s for minor injuries before she was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.

A man in his 60s was also assessed but declined transport to hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
