A major search is underway for a group of juveniles accused of brutally bashing a bus driver on the Gold Coast.
The man was driving along Springsure Drive in Mudgeeraba around 4.30pm on Thursday when the brazen daylight assault allegedly unfolded.
“The driver had exited the vehicle to speak with a group of three juveniles before a physical altercation ensued,” Queensland Police said.
The trio fled the scene before police arrived and remain at large this morning.
The bus driver, a man in his 60s, was treated at the scene for serious injuries before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
Investigations to track down those responsible are ongoing.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the attack to come forward.
