Gold Coast police have seized two jetskis as they continue to investigate a reckless stunt on the Nerang River.
Police believe two boys, aged 15 and 16, deliberately sprayed a tinnie that was fishing through the Surfers Paradise area around 2.30pm on Sunday, causing it to capsize.
Two brothers on board, who were aged just 10 and 14, ended up stuck in the water.
Thankfully, bystanders quickly rushed to the boys aid and they escaped uninjured. Officers then assisted with the recovery of their vessel, which had sustained damage to its motor.
Water Police were able to quickly identify the craft involved and spoke with the two operators but no arrests were made at that time.
Following investigations, two search warrants were executed at home in Broadbeach Waters and Mermaid Waters yesterday afternoon, where two jetskis were seized.
No charges have been laid at this stage while investigations continue.
